A Major Milestone
On February 14, 2026, the New National Party became the first political party in Grenada to announce a complete slate of 15 candidates for the upcoming general election. The final six candidates were unveiled at a gathering at party headquarters in Tempe, St George, joining nine previously announced caretakers and candidates.
The achievement signals the NNP's readiness and organisational strength as the country moves closer to the next general election.
The Full NNP Slate
The NNP's 15 candidates span every constituency in Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique:
- Emmalin Pierre — St Andrew South-East

A Mix of Experience and Fresh Energy
The slate features a blend of experienced political figures and newcomers. Among the candidates are a medical doctor, a former attorney general, seasoned community organisers, and young professionals entering representational politics for the first time.
Political Leader Emmalin Pierre said the diversity of the slate reflects the NNP's vision for a modern, inclusive Grenada.
"We have deliberately chosen people who represent the best of their communities — people with the skills, the passion, and the integrity to serve," Pierre said. "This is not about recycling the past. It is about building for the future."
First to Be Ready
By completing its full slate ahead of any other party, the NNP has positioned itself as the most organised political force heading into the election cycle.
General Secretary Roland Bhola noted that the early completion of the slate allows the party to shift its full attention to ground-level campaigning and policy development.
"While others are still searching for candidates, our people are already in the communities, doing the work," Bhola said. "Readiness is not just about having names on a list — it is about having the right people in place, with a plan and the determination to execute it."
The Road to Election Day
With all 15 candidates now in place, the NNP will intensify its constituency-level campaigns, policy rollouts, and public engagements. The party has signalled that a comprehensive manifesto will follow in the coming months, outlining its plans for governance, economic development, and social transformation.
The message from Tempe was clear: the NNP is ready.
